Your local PMAT Regional Center is here to assist you in the recruitment, selection, hiring and retention of high quality teachers. Recognizing that retaining teachers that grow in experience supports state and federal initiatives requiring schools to report equitable distribution of teachers.
The PMAT Regional Centers will also help you determine your goals and develop a plan to:
• Increase the number of highly qualified teachers
• Increase retention of teachers in high-priority schools
• Develop a multi-year plan with cost-effective personnel management systems
• Develop a multi-year plan to encourage current teachers to expand into hard-to-staff areas
• Sustain highly effective teacher development planning and practices
